Need meets speed at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel tomorrow, Sunday, November 13th at Speed Rack, a national, all-female, speed bartending competition.
From 3 to 7 p.m., 16 of L.A.’s best lady bartenders will compete for the title of So Cal’s fastest female cocktail slinger and raise funds for breast cancer charities while they shake and stir rounds of cocktails from a curated list of 50 “accepted industry standard recipes” in front of a panel of guest judges…and you!

The winner will compete for the national title of Miss Speed Rack in NYC in May 2012.

Tix—available at the door (cash/check only) or online at speedrackla.eventbrite.com—are $20 and get you complimentary food, punches, beer, and, of course, cocktails. Pony up $35 and you’ll get a Speed Rack t-shirt and bonus free koozie as well.
Sponsored by LUPEC (Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails), the tour has already raised over $12,000 in the first, three cocktail comps and hopes to raise a total of $75,000 by the national competition next May.

SPEED RACK - LA, Nov. 13, 3-7 p.m., $25 - $35, Roosevelt Hotel - Blossom Room, 7000 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood.
