This year, Speed Rack has traveled across the country to 10 different cities, meeting over 200 female bartenders who have poured their hearts, souls and favorite spirits into Speed Rack. In each of the regional heats held in 10 of the top cocktail cities in the nation, only 10 City Winners plus 6 Wild Cards that were voted fro online have qualified to compete in the Speed Rack National Finals.
On May 16th, 2013, come to the East Village's Element and see what these girls have been working so hard on. And while you're at it, help us raise some money to help beat Breast Cancer.
Over the last 2 years, Speed Rack has raised close to $150,000 for breast cancer charities; in the past 2nd season, we have raised nearly $75,000 for charities including Share Cancer Support, Nationa Breast Cancer Foundation, and Army of Women

2012-2013 Season 2 Cities
The Contest
Speed Rack is a competition created by and for female bartenders. And, while we're at it, we're going to raise some money to fight breast cancer. All proceeds from our events go to supporting breast cancer education, prevention and research.
Speed Rack is a national cocktail competition that featuring female bartenders in key cocktail markets and puts them head to head in round robin style timed and judged challenges. It is the first competition of its kind to highlight strong women in the spirits industry.
In each city, using sponsors' products, participating bartenders are required to make a round of cocktails selected at random culled from a list of 50 industry-standard recipes. In front of a panel of food and beverage luminaries, the ladies go head to head in round robin style instant elimination rounds. The judges request and evaluate each drink based on accuracy, taste and presentation. After the surviving time and judging penalties, the swiftest and most skilled women under pressure move forward to the next round until our bracket is down to two. There is only one winner. She is crowned Miss Speed Rack.
The Finals for the inaugural year of 2011-2012 were held in New York City on Thursday, May 10, 2012.
THIS YEAR 2013, Finals will be held MAY 16TH, 2013. Location and tickets to be announced shortly!
